What are you making for dinner tonight? Do you have a weekly meal plan?

What are you planning on cooking tonight? Do you plan it out ahead of time by the week or you do you just buy a bunch of groceries and then make whatever you feel like that night. I have tried to make a meal plan at the beginning of the week when I go shopping but I'm never able to stick to it. Tonight for dinner we are having pork chops with mashed potatoes and corn with peas.

I don't plan out a menu I probaly should. I have a friend that grocery shops compared to weekly menu she figures out how much money she can spend on groceriers for the week then plans a meunu for each days and buys her groceries compared to that. We are having cheeseburgers with rice a roni tonight for supper.

Wow, your friend is really good! I don't think I could ever expect to spend a certain amount of money and actually stick to that budget. Maybe I could give it a try. Cheeseburgers sound great! Haven't had a cheeseburger in a long time. Can't wait for the warmer weather to really start so we can get outside and do some major grilling. Thanks for posting!

I don't have a meal plan, but I should. I hate trying to think of what to make for dinner each day. I haven't a clue what I'll make today. I made country style ribs yesterday because I found a pack on sale the day before, but I haven't taken anything else out for today. I didn't have a good grocery list with me this time either, so I didn't get half the stuff I wanted to. Dinner may be sparse tonight, LOL ..

Most times I don't have a very good shopping list either. Maybe that's my problem and why I never seem to have enough food to make it through an entire week without having to run back to the store to pick up some things. Maybe next week I'll really try to put together a better shopping list!

We usually pick out meals but to what day we are going to have them...who knows. When we go to the grocery store we try to buy meals that we cook and meals that are easy to make. It really all depends on that day as to what we are going to have for dinner. My mother has even told me were going to have this and this for dinner and then at the last minute she will say just eat whatever. I get aggravated occasionally because everyone in my house will eat late and I eat dinner kind of early so if we are having dinner together I am starving by the time it is done.

I made spaghetti and turkey meatballs last night, we usually have pasta at least once a week. I love it because it's so simple and my daughter will always eat it. Homemade chicken nuggets? How do you do that?

My mom made a korean beef stew! it is really nice... it only lacks sesame seeds, as i think it is more beautiful with lots of sesame seeds in it. :) she made it for the first time after watching on tv how a local artist cooks his korean beef stew. :) i love if i think its going to be one of my favorites now.

Tonight is 'clean the fridge' out night. We have leftover BBQ ribs, chicken salad, chicken fried rice, tossed salad, and crescent rolls. I love the buffet that my refrigerator serves a couple of times a week. I make menus up, but I can never use them because I forget until the meal is already made. LOL

I love the "clean out the fridg night" idea. Only problem is my boyfriend usually takes the leftovers with him from the previous night to work with him for lunch.

I don't know what I'm going to eat tonight because my mother is the one that eats. Now that money is tight she tries to cook whatever we have in the fridge so we don't have to waste money that we could use for something else. She'll probably just cook some plantains or something. Talking and thinking about food is actually making me really hungry right now. I think I am going to go get a snack now.

I actually don't make meal plans because I can't cook in my apartment. Before that I still can in my old apartment, I do think ahead on what to cook for the night. Now, I just take whatever I like that's available in the canteen of my building apartment. Tonight, I have chicken. I don't know its name, sorry. I had one rice and Coke. Few hours after, I had coffee and junkfood. hehehe..

I don't have a plan for dinner tonight, I need to come up with something. I really wish I could make weekly meal plans but something always happens to sabotage them. I really wish I could be more organized when it comes to dinners. My kids are very picky eaters so that makes it even harder!

I usually have a meal plan, and semi stick to it. For a while I didn't and it seems as though we were eating the same meals over and over and over - LOL! Got pretty boring, and while looking for something new I came across a website called savingdinner.com. They send you out a new meal plan each week along with a grocery list already prepared (love that part). It is a pay service so I subscribed for a year, printed out each weeks plan w/ instructions and put them all in a 3 ring binder. Now I have a years worth of meal plans, with very few repeats and 99% of the meals are fabulous. I've been using this method for a few years now and no one ever gets bored, so I guess its working - LOL!

Thats me the one that buys a bunch of groceries and decide each day what I'm going to make. I've tried the meal daily plan and it didn't work out. I don't even know yet what I'm making for dinner, it will be either chicken, pork chops, or tilapia (not for sure how thats spelled) It will depend on my kids and how well they let me cook or prepare early if you know what I mean. Sometimes I can't do a big dinner because my kids won't leave me alone to do it. :)

tonight we are having fish nuggets with oven chips and mushy peas as i would like the children to have more fish as i find that it helps with there school work. i seem to decide what we are having when i first have my breakfast in the morning because if i don't my family will say to me what we having for dinner later on the day

I've considered doing that whole weekly meal planner thing but my moods change so often that chances are I'd have something planned for middle of the week or later in the week and when that day comes have no desire to make it LOL Tonight is grocery night which also means fend for yourself night OR French Bread Pizza..
