It seems I only use French Fried Onions (they have to be French's brand, too)when making green bean casserole. I really like them, so I am wanting to find other ways of using them. There are always a few suggestions on the can, but I have never tried any of them. Do you use them for more than just green bean casserole? If so what do you use them for?

I have mixed them in meat loaf. Comes out pretty tasty. Also they can be used as a salad topper.Better than croutons. Depending on what you are in the mood for.

Mixed inside the meatloaf sounds interesting. I am not a big fan of crouton's, so this might be a good alternative.

You can sprinkle them on top of just about any casseorole or salad. I love throwing a few on top of stir fried veggies or on top of a steak. Did you know you can also buy french fried garlic? It's available at most Asian grocery stores. We put that on top of just about anything, it's really wonderful. I think I could have a serious addiction problem.....

Sometimes I'll crush them and use them in place of bread crumbs on oven baked chicken - its delish!!! Put them in a food processor or blender to break them up, dip boneless skinless chicken pieces in buttermilk or beaten egg, dip them in the fried onions and bake.

That sounds wonderful. I am going to have to try this sometime. Thank you for the idea. My son would love this I think.
