My husband and I have decided to move to a new location due to some changes happening in our home town we are not happy about. Anyway, I was just wondering what your favorite kind of home is? Do you like ranch style, tutor, colonial, split-level...? I'm asking so I can get some ideas that I may not have though of before. So, please let me know your favorite and why. Right now, I'm leaning toward the ranch style because it will soon only be my hubby and me living there.

My favorite home is the old-fashined one.I hope it made of wood and have a small garden so that I can plant the flowers I like. The inside of it I hope it would be classic.I think many of the chidren will like it.

Hi Lishiwei, Please tell me more about your homes in China. What are they made of there? I do like woodwork inside the home - more old fashion style not modern. I used to like the other way when I was younger.

I like the ranch open floor plan style. I just really like being able to be in my kitchen and see across the kitchen table and the living room. Even if you have kids at home it is a nice set up if you get a 3 bedroom, 2 bath. Personally, I would never down size past a three bedroom becaus eyou never know if th ekids could move back or if th egrandkids want to stay over. It is always good to have a master bedroom, a guest room, and another room for the PC or library.

We currently own a 2 story home. At first I didn't like a ranch style because I thought it would be too crowded. Now, I'm leaning toward a 1 floor ranch style with a full basement because it is definitely a pain to keep the upstairs clean! I agree with you about returning kids and grandkids. Our first grandchild is being born in August and I definitely want a place for him to sleep. Thank yo for your input it is very well appreciated!
