No, I haven't heard anything like this lately, but there are a couple of suits from a couple of years ago that still make me shake my head. And both involve McDonald's. In the first one, a lady sued McDonald's because she got burned with the coffee in the drive through. How? When she pulled off, she was holding the cup between her legs!!! As if she didn't know the coffee was hot!!! She didn't win, but that is why all restaurants put the "Caution, contents are hot." warning on all their coffee cups. The second one really peeves me. A group of overweight High School kids and their parents sued McDonald's. Why? They claim that McDonald's made their kids fat!!! Come on now, they have had the nutritional facts for their foods on a flyer you can get at any McDonald's for at least a decade. Besides, no one forced you to go there before school for breakfast, and then again after school for lunch, dinner, a snack or whatever you want to call it!!! On top of it, how come you didn't get smaller sizes when you know this stuff is fattening? Anyway, these kids won their suit, got a settlement from McDonald's, and this is why they no longer serve the Super Sized portions on their menu. Its a shame that McDonald's had to pay for these kids', and their parents' mistake.
