Baby's gender

When a wife is unable to produce a male heir, is it the wife fault? Correct me if I am wrong, but I think men is the one who carries the x and y chromosome. while women only carries x chromosome which only means that a man is the one who is responsible for his baby gender. So, why are wives blamed for not being able to give a male baby? Is it fair that when some men divorce their wives for that reason?

That's what I've always heard, Ellie. It is the male's chromosomes that determines the gender of the baby. I think it's preposperous (sp?) that a man should divorce his wife because she can't bear him a son--it's his fault actually.

Probably it is the men excuse to get married again, lol.

LOL of course it's not the wife's fault. If it's a scientific fact that men carry x & y chromosones then it must be some stupid men and their stupid families who blame the woman for not producing a male child. Who cares anyway? We're living in 2008 now and anyone who is obsessed with having a male heir deserves to keep having female offspring for eternity hehe! x

It's the sperm that determines the gender. I think if a man divorces his wife because he doesn't get a son-he's an idiot and shouldn't be a father in the first place.

The babies gender is determined by the man. The woman has nothing to do with it at all. If there is a man that blames the woman or even divorces her over it he needs to get his head out of his butt and do the research. When he finds a new wife its going to be humerous when he starts giving her girls too.
