What is really with all the scams out there?

Everyone wants to earn money. I think that we have a serious problem! Part of this problem has to do with all the scams out there. The people creating these scams are making millions while the people that really need to make money are loosing it. They prey on the average person by making us think that we will actually get rich on the internet when in actuality, we end up spending more than we had in the first place. Why do people do this? I believe it has a lot to do with moral and ethics. No one wants to be taken advantage of, but if I can make a little bit of money off of you, then who really cares about morals? I think it's all a bunch of crap! We really need to start treating people the way we want to be treated. Whether we know the person or not. What do you think?

I have to agree with the poster above. I won't hold my breath either. These scammers hide behind their computers and believe charging for the same tired-old info is okay.
I only look to join free affiliate programs and a few other free sites. That way when I get a referral, I won't make money from them until he/she also makes money. And I won't feel bad for the person if they decide that "this isn't what they wanted".
It was free, so really there's no downside.
You're right the lack of ethics and morals is a bunch of crap. In a perfect world you wouldn't have to worry... unfortunately, it's not a perfect world...so, Let the Buyer Beware and it's sad it really has to come to that.

Thanks for responding. I agree with you. I have joined a couple of free affiliate programs as well, but I am also training to be a Medical Transcriber. I just figure you have to work to make money, regardless of what the work is. There is now easy way to make money unless it is at the expense of others, and I'm not going to be that type of person. So, we must warn those new comers and keep our eyes open so that we don't get scammed anymore!

It would be nice if people followed the Golden Rule, but I am not going to hold my breath that it is going to happen anytime in the near future. What annoys me most about the scams is that they nail the people who need to make money the most. I think one of the reasons why there are so scams on the internet is simply that the cons don't see their victims as real people, just email and bank addresses. But I could be wrong, maybe it wouldn't make any difference to most of the scam artists out there.

I agree. These people don't see us as people at all. Just money in the bank! It's ridiculous. We can't seem to get ahead but they are doing cart wheels all the way to the bank. Will things ever change? I really don't think so. As long as we keep falling for these scams, they'll keep putting them out there.
