everything you have." Do you believe this to be true. When we think of the word sucessful, what comes to mind? Someone that's rich or someone that is happy with what they have? I have always thought of someone that is rich, I must admit. But to be successful you must be happy with what you have. Do you think that rich people always feel sucessful if they are not happy?

I am sure there are a lot of successful people who are not happy. So I'm not sure the 2 go hand and hand. Although, in my mind I am happy and consider myself successful, even though I am not wealthy. LOL

I agree with the saying 100%. I might not be rich and have a high paying job but I have a family that loves me and I am happy! Being happy with your life is the most importaint thing. If your happy then the rest will follow. You just have to believe. Rich people are not happy, well most rich people that is. Thats why they are always causing trouble or going to rehab or things of that nature. I would give up being rich for having a loving caring family anyday of the week. Say someone offered me 10 millon dollars but I couldnt be happy I wouldnt do it. I love life to much and I love to e Happy!!! ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always~ Copper

I would say that having money doesn't really mean you're happy or successful. It's what ya do in life that makes ya successful. Now money does help with the happiness sometimes. But I don't need to be rich to be happy.

yes. i think so. when you appreciate what you have and dont look for things that isnt there, you will be more happy and successful. sometimes it can be frustrating to look for things we know we cannot find.. we just have to make do what is available and make whatever out of it a good one... sometimes we can be successful in doing that too...

They say that if you are happy with what you have.....then more comes your way. I personally think that some people get too involved in obtaining material things when what would really make them happy is right in front of their noses.....to enjoy every minute of everyday....to love with all your heart and to give without expecting anything back...then it all comes back to you! I would say success is being happy with what you have!

Success is defined in my word processor as the achievement of something planned. When I was growing up, I believed success meant a hubby, 2.5 kids a dog a white picket fence, no worries over bills. lalalalalateda As I grew up and lived a really hard life, I gave up that dream and stopped working towards it. I never thought money was in my future, so I learned to be happy where ever I am and with whatever I have. Now that I am grown, I know that success is a very individual destination. When I reach a goal I feel successful. That may last a minute or a year. But at that moment I am successful because I accomplished what I set out to do. Whether that means loosing the next five pounds, completing the next 3 or 4 college credits, paying all the bills on time, or getting the house clean top to bottom, it was a goal achieved by me. Success and happiness are not the same thing, just like success and wealth are not the same thing. Sometimes one comes with the other, but they do not depend on each other.

Success for me is being contented with what you have. In that way you are happy even if you are rich or poor.
