No. I don't keep a diary, because what a person puts to paper can be read by anyone for generations. I do blog, and that's really a lot like journaling, depending on the topic. So maybe I should answer "yes" to your question.

I am much like you, it sounds, I don't want hidden thoughts or opinions to become public!

Hello There! When I was in High School, I always keep a diary. I write there every little thing that happens in my life every day! Even my dream or what I watched that day, I wrote it there. But now I am too busy, I don’t really keep a diary. I think I really outgrown writing in a piece of paper about my life so far… lolz… However, I keep the diary when I was in my senior year. I can’t help but laugh whenever I read my old diary. I mean, I cannot believe that I am capable of writing those things in there… it really makes me smile remembering the past and how I made an evidence on every embarrassing moment in my life writing it to my diary! Thanks for the discussion! Happy Mylotting and have a great day ahead! Cheers!

I find that blogging has taken the place of journaling on paper!

Sun Set - Phtographed at Augume, in Western Ghats of India.
I not only keep a diary, I write once a day about day's events, finances etc. It is very interesting to read the diary after couple of years. I have it for 15 years.

For most of my life I have kept a daily diary, I would write everything in it, I was self-controlled like that and every day there was an entry without fail and I would record my emotions, events and things that were private and personal to me. However my ex found my diaries and took it upon themself to read them! I was totally mortified, betrayed and quite rightfully angry! I went beserk. I burnt every single diary and since 2007 I haven't written anything, I refuse to write a diary now, for the fear of it falling into the wrong hands, or anyones hands for that matter.

A Personal Diary - I like to keep a personal diary to gather my thoughts and record what is bothering me and pleasing me.
I keep a diary which I try to write my thoughts in daily. It really helps me keep a clear head and makes me feel better to write down what's bothering me.
