Hello mylot friends! My son's kindergarten class went on a field trip to the zoo today. I was not able to go, but my son, Adrian, told me all about his trip to the zoo. He was so excited when he was telling what animals he saw there. He saw a giraffe, a bat, a hippo, a fox, an elephant, a gorilla..... and....."a damingo!" He told me, "and mom, guess what else! I saw a damingo!" Me: "what's a damingo?" Adrian:"You know, a damingo." Me: "damingo?" Adrian: "Yeah, you know, a big bird and it stands on one foot, it's pink....A DAMINGO!" LOL! Just thought I'd share, have a good day!

That is pretty funny and I am really happy that your child got to go...I have been to the zoo before on field trips and they were always fun...I think that it is great that children learn about animals at such a young age...I remember the time that I went in first grade and I remember that we all had a lot of fun...I think that your child will always remember going because the zoo is always a fun place to go no matter what age you are... Kids can be so funny, and cute at the same time. I love to talk to them about their adventures. Flamingo is a pretty hard word for a kid to say, but at least he remembered how it looked, bless him. I guess he was thinking it would stand on one leg in a dam, so what else could it be, but a Damingo? Come on Mum, you should have understood that! Brightest Blessings, and thank you for sharing.

Oh How adorable!! It sounds like he had a wonderfull time! My son is also in kindergarten and will be going to the zoo at the end of may. I have asked to be a chaperone because I really want to go with him and see his expressions at all the animals. I Know he will have a good time. He loves animals just Like I do. I was thinking of getting him a disposable camera so he could take some pictures while he was there. ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always~ Copper

Hello copperkitten! That's a good idea about getting your son a disposable camera to take pics with at the zoo! I'm sure he'll have a great time!
