So you have $100 and a family of 4. What would you buy at the store to feed them for one month? Plan on having spices and small amounts of sugar and flour and things like that that we normaly have a bit of on hand. Healthy and cheap are important. What is your list going to be like?

If I have 100$ which is almost 3200 INR, I would buy some useful easy to learn and have fun kinda CDs for the orphanage I am attached to. It would be a great help o the children and for us as well who struggle to teach them simple things. Thanks.

It is always great to use your money for a good cause. I figure the more you give the more you recieve in a karma kind of way.

I would spend it all on dried goods. Pasta, rice, beans etc. Then I would not need to buy any of that stuff again for months. I would then have slightly more to spend on fresh produce and meats. I only eat free range or organic chicken and yo cannot buy much of that for $100. So dried good it would have to be. Thank you.

I guess that dried goods are the cheapest and easiest ways to eat and can be very healthy too. We eat beans when we need protein and cant afford meats.

the first thing that i should buy are rice, salt and water. i should buy water in gallon to drink cause the water from pomp not safe enough to drink. after that i would like buy fresh vegetables everyday and eggs. i think those kind menu is adequate for $100 in a month. ah ya, the rest i should buy palm cooking oil and gas for cooking. although we don't eat meat cause meat is very expensive nowadays, i would like to replace it with nabati protein as like from soy bean food which in my place caled "tahu" or "tempe"

I would buy lots of pasta, chicken, hamburger, ramen noodles, jello, pudding, some cereal, Kool-aid packets, some produce such as potatoes, cabbage, carrots, apples. I would use coupons and buy sale items and have ideas of what to fix. I would probably travel to a couple of stores to get their deals.

That is how we do most if not all of our regular shopping but we still spend a bit more than that. I guess if we ate less and smarter it would all balance out.
