Here's a very empowering letter that I received today..
I just thought it would be nice to share..
Jeannie,
There is one thing that every person on earth secretly wants more than anything else . . . (this will surprise you!).
No . . . It's not money.
It's not power over other people.
And it's not a perfect relationship, a sculpted body, more free time, greater success, or more security . . .
Although, once you find this one thing, true success, security, love, and excellence naturally follow.
Very few people discover the path to this great prize; but those who do, lead lives of quiet amazement. They are released from stress and worry. Gone is the daily grind of struggling to control events. In their place, the unshakable contentment of an inspired life is revealed. What is this ultimate gift?
Fearlessness.
To be fearless is to be naturally bold, spontaneously creative, and immune to intimidation. The fearless ones act wisely and decisively in any situation.
We all intuitively know that greatness is found within the character of a man or woman, not in what they possess. When you know true fearlessness, you can't be overcome by any challenge. You know that every event, regardless of its nature, has come to help you deepen your understanding and further the development of your soul. And for this same realization, you know how to meet each moment -- even the difficult ones -- and find within it the means to grow stronger, wiser, and ever more grateful for being alive.
This is how you are meant to live.
You are meant to fully manifest all the potential lying within you . . . to know the boundless authority and effortless expression of your own True Self . . . to always be on the cutting edge of life, realizing ever-broadening realms of freedom.
Now is your opportunity to discover the secret source of fearlessness within you . . . where perfect optimism, the courage to overcome any obstacle, and a powerful stillness await the one who dares to take the first step.
How did you find it?

you start by believing in yourself, believing you can do all the things that need to be done in your life, change all the things that need to be changed, and live out all your dreams as if you are entitled to them. Do not be afraid to try new things, or stand on your principals when nobody else agrees, free to be you in any way it takes is fearlessness.

I do think it is true. If you have no fear then you can do anything in life because you do not fear to fail and it is feasr of failure that holds many people back.
I like to think I am brave and have the courage to face whatever life throws at me.
It is also my theory that people who are bigots, prejudiced, homophobic, intolerant or feel hatred towards people who do not share their beliefs, are really afraid of what they don't know. Their ignorance is manifested as fear and fear breeds hatred. If people did not fear what they do not understand there would be more harmony in the world.

I particularly liked the line where it said that "We all intuitively know that greatness is found within the character of a man or woman, not in what they possess".
So often we tend to marvel at ones assets and use it to measure how worthy they are of our time and attention. This I can safely say, after reading and agreeing with the letter is a sign of fear in us. Fear of offending those we consider to be powerful or popular.
I think this was a beautiful letter which really seeks to awaken ones inner strength and implore us to take control of our own lives and destiny by eliminating fear.
A beautiful discussion. Thanks Jeanniemay. (lol)
