How do you know when you are in love

This must sound stupid,especially when it's from a 22-year-old grown woman,but it's really hard for me to tell whether I'm in love with someone or not. I meet good guys from time to time.Sometimes I would feel extremely attracted to them.I would think about them all the time,try to interpret what they say, what they do,knowing I'm most probably indulging in my own fantacy.I guess that's when I should try to get to know the guy,and develop a relationship?But I never did,cuz I'm convinced that I'd be disappointed. And then I met this new guy from work.I don't have that kind of feelings for him;there's no such moment as I feel like my heart skips a beat or something;I don't really miss him when he's not around.We do hang out a lot though.He He usually pays for me when we are eating out.I wouldn't say we're dating cuz he never said anything and I don't really see him that way,but everybody else says we are.And I feel quite comfortable with him.There's no need to disguise;he's OK with me occasionally looking disgraceful and surprisingly I'm OK with it too.I figure since most couples will be that way eventually,why not start now?Why all the trouble?Plus I'm sure I do like him. But when I think about it,something just doesn't feel right here.So could anyone kindly tell me in what way I should think about it? And please excuse my terrible English.I'm really bad at it.
