What exactly is filehippo.com

I'm talking about the song - http://www.filehippo.com/
Is it a legal site with all the downloads of updated software or does it have spyware etc. I'm just curious as it seems to be a useful site but I can't get myself to trust it.
Do any of you use it?

Yo! pitstop, everything in filehippo.com are legit software like download.com or cnet. One thing I like about filehippo is each item include its older versions so let say I been using winamp 5.0 for a while and i like to try its 5.3, if I'm not satisfied or its too much for my system, I could always get 5.0 back and reinstall it. It's one of favorite download site. Hope this helps.

What ferdzNK said. I have several sites that I trust that send you to filehippo.com for the actual download. I've downloaded quite a few things over the last 6 months or so and my computer is still running fine and my anti-virus, etc hasn't found anything it questioned in any of those downloads.

Only thing I have used it for is for updates on CCleaner. It automaticallly takes me there when they have an update available. haven't a clue as to what it all is about but so far I've not had any problems for what I have used it for.

Hi pitstop,
I am using filehippo to download software for years and never have a problem with it. I think it is a legal and safe site to download any software because if the software has any trial time, they would mention it and they also put a link to the original site if we choose to downloaded it from there.
They just want to make it easier for us because they collect all the downloadable file in one platform and we can pick any software that we want to.
