My cat jumps on me when I'm sitting at the table and snuggles up near my neck and wraps both of her arms around my neck and hugs me! It is the sweetest thing ever! Does anyone else's cat do anything like that?

Aw, how cute! One of my cats does something similar. She likes to sit on me if I'm on the couch, and will put her arms up on me or around me like a hug. Except she's just a cat so she can't quite reach. It's pretty funny.

When I worked for a Humane Society. I spent some time with the cats and there were a few that did that., but there was this one....I will never forget and she would jump up on my shoulder and then hug and kiss my ear and then she would wash my hair from my ear up to the top of my head.

Yes! My cat jumps on my lap and we have a reclining sofa with a foot rest. One of his favorite places to lay is either between my husband's or my feet on the foot rest. While he is laying there he usually will put his paw on my leg and then put his chin or head there too - "hugging" me. Isn't that sweet? I can tell that he really cares about us when he does that. It's so cute! Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

Mine will sit next to me on the couch and then raise up to my chin and sort of head-but me. Then he looks up at me and very gently stroke my cheek with his huge paw. It is adorable. He is a very big boy (23 pounds) and extreemly strong. He could shred me if he wanted to, but always treats me gently.

My cat has done that since he was a kitten. He's all grown up now. Every time I pat my shoulders a couple of times with my hands, and say "kittie face, come give me kisses" he comes running, then jumps up on me and gives me hugs and kisses. He's the most awesome cat ever. If you start talking to him, he will talk back (meowing of course). But it's always different tones of meow and lengths.. like he is actually talking back in cat language. He always comes when you call his name too, no matter what he is doing. Except for if he is eating. Then he will meow like he's saying "hold on, I'm eating". lol. I moved in a couple of houses down from my mom, and my landlord doesn't allow me to have pets. So she keeps my cat at her house. He always comes to my back window and meows for me to come out side. When I go out to pet him for a while, he hugs me like crazy. I miss sleeping with him. He always slept on my back :(

My cat doesn't hug my neck like yours does, but when she wants me to pay more attention to her, she'll hug my arm. She'll also flop over on her back for a belly rub, and sometimes she'll grab my arm and hug it, while I'm rubbing her belly.

I do have a cat that, every night, walks up to where my pillow is, curls up by my head and wraps her arms/paws around my neck and snuggles up. I personally don't really appreciate mounds of cat hair all over my pillow, so I usually put her further down my bed, but she won't sleep unless she's touching me somehow, so I have to sleep with my arm under her paw. And I wake up hours later and she's still there, completely enveloping my arm...She only started this recently, and before that, I was always the one hugging her...So, I thought that maybe she sensed that that was a gesture of affection, I don't know, just maybe...Interesting thought though...

My cat Truffles does - when I am lying down in bed she snuggles up really close, lays straight against my back and puts her right front leg around my neck. I have owned several cats in my lifetime but never had one that does this.
