I often feel like welding spikes to the front of a cart for just this reason. Can they not tell their blocking the lanes....

I'm sure they have something in the garden center you could conveniently hang over the front of the cart.

No you are not getting cranky in your old age, I have the same problem and it seems to me that just lately the aisles in the supermarkets seem to be the new meeting places and they stand there and just chops away to each other and when you politely ask to pass they either just ignore you, or look at you and carry on their conversation! So then you have to say excuse me again and then a bit louder, and then because you have raised your voice they look at you in disgust!!

No you are not the only one who feels that way. If they want to chat and carry on let them find a place like the bigger isle and hold their reunion. The least she could have said was she was sorry that she didn't mean to take up so much space that you couldn't get by. You are not getting cranky in your old age. If you are for being upset by that than a whole lot of us are cranky in our old age.

No that winds me up too, if I see someone I know while shopping and want to stop and talk il at least move myself out the way so people can carry on shopping. People who ignore me when I politley say excuse me just annoy me even more and il push my way through im not into second chances when ive been polite and they just keep on being rude.
