Generation-X is all about trends. With the coffee culture catching up, there is a sudden rise in the number of coffee shops, especially in urban World. Today, there are in numerous outlets across the world. And the loser in the hot beverages segment has been good old tea.
So Is Tea On The Lose? or Tea is still the undisputed king of hot beverages ?

I think it depends on where you are. In the US, coffee is still the beverage of choice for almost everyone. Other places, like England, are more inclined to tea. Around here, there are several coffee houses, but you can get hot tea almost everywhere you go, too.

Old is gold friend.......tea was always liked by people,it is still liked by people and it will have same place in future too. We all know benefits of tea, and we all know how bad is coffee if taken more than necessary.Tea in Indian and British style which is taken with milk gives most satisfied feeling. So in my opinion tea will never be a looser
.......but may be soon coffee will become outdated...

I drink both of them but it does seem like tea is losing out. You see a starbucks in manhattan on every corner and it's crazy. But I still drink tea in my house. I would buy two boxes of lipton green tea and I love it. But there are times when I want coffee for that extra jolt. But when you look at the world today tea is takigng a backseat for now.

I am a coffee drinker, the only time I drink tea is if I run out of coffee or I am really thirsty as I find it quenches my thirst! I like to drink coffee when I am out but sometimes I find it is so strong it is horrible, I love to have a cappuchino though as they do not seem to be as strong as the other coffees they do.

I live in a suburban town and still there are Starbucks and other coffee shops popping up everywhere. I'd have to say the coffee seems to be reigning supreme right now. When I buy a hot drink out somewhere it is usally a coffee but on occassion I will buy a tea. Tea is mostly what I make and drink at home if I feel my immune system needs a good boost. Each morning I have my coffee maker programed to start brewing at 5:45 a.m. so I can have a cup right when I get up.
