PS3 breaks down.. a sad story should i say.. or just a long complaint..

And today.. it feels like ages.. and i am still waiting for my PS3 to be fixed and sent back to me so i can do wat i intended to do after i bought the console,"play the games that i have purchased for littreally worth like 4-500 bucks..." So i had finally saved money to buy a PS3 console.. oh wow.. wat a feeling.. I will go the closest place that sells PS3 and i will give them Cash and bring home my bundle of joy.. Oh but it is still few months before Christmas.. should i wait till then.. so i can get somemore discount.. Nah.. maybe not.. i can't wait any longer.. i'll just go and buy it now and watever.. So i went and bought the console and game called F.E.A.R(good game). I finish the game after some intense gaming moments.. then i go and get Call of Duty 4.. amazing.. and then few other games.. all waiting to be played.. Wat can be a better way to kill time during my Uni holidays.. I can finish a lot of games and give reviews.. Four months after i buy the console.. it breaks down on me.. doesn't read the disk.. So i sent it for repair.. they told me.. oh don't worry.. you'll get it back in 6-8 months time.. i ring them to find out.. and it's still beig looked at.. now my school holidays are over.. all those games have to wait a while befoer i can get to play them again.. I just don't understand why it take like freaking 2-3 months to fix a console.. Are there so many PS3 consoles breaking down.. When i payed that much money.. i thought i was paying for quality.. Now i just wish they give me my money back.. so i can buy XBox or something.. Recently i have stopped callin them.. and i just hope that my console will find it's way back home before it forgets where it belongs.. Have any one of you guys have had any problems with your console?.. Have any one of you sent it for repair?.. Do you think the waiting time is reduculous?.. Does the repair center send your mails or anything about wat's happened to the console and how further has is progressed down the line to get fixed or something?.. I would like to hear from you guys too..
