I have started to be selective about where I shop for groceries. It is quite surprising how much you can save each week by perhaps buying a supermarket's own brand, instead of an expensive brand. I don't mean buy the cheapest of everything, I mean be selective. If you think about it, a tin of tomatoes is generally a tin of tomatoes. Just because it has "Heinz" on the front, doesn't mean that it contains super-tomatoes. Read the labels of things, so you know what you are getting. And for some things, choose the cheaper option.

I have also become an ebayer. I am having a clear out and selling the stuff which is of good condition, but that I haven't used or don't need. Someone else may as well get the use out of it, at a knock down price. Sometimes just a few quid here and there really helps.

Hello, ellie! The world economic condition is going through a bad period.the price rise of all commodities effect the pockets of all specially the middle class and the poor.i was managing my household expenditure with a monthly budget but now facing deficit in every month.I am a pensioner and experiencing much hardship to meet my requirements.what to speak of the poor people just imagine how they would feed their children with their scanty income.these people go with bare necessities, which expenditure they will curtail i don't understand.the government has to do some thing to arrest the price hike .thank you.
