save.....or spend?

with money so tight now, we have to make sure that we know how to take care of our money.....saving is the best way to make sure that you are taking care of the uncertainties of tomorrow....although, i think that there are things that we should spend more on (because eventually it would save us from spending more) and there are things that we should save on outright...just like some of these personal items.... work shoes - i think that we should SPEND on a pair of very good work shoes....just think, this is the pair that we wear to work everyday (not unless you're the type who wears different ones each day).... a sturdy and reliable pair of shoes would eventually save you big bucks.... i bought a pair of shoes a couple of years back- at about $100-$120...but look, i am still using them today, still looking good, still fashionable, still reliable...so in short, i was able to save on buying work shoes for about 24 months....that's a huge savings! accessories - i think you have to SAVE on this one...accesories come and go in a few months and buying something expensive that would go out of fashion in a month or two is not worth it...although there kinds of accessories that don't go out of fashion but with the rest, we're better off on the cheap ones... bag/s - i am the kind of person who uses the same bag every single day...i just don't like the hassle of changing your bag each day...so i would say SPEND on a very good bag....something that would fit into any kind of wardrobe, any kind of occasion or any time of the day....by doing this, you save yourself a big amount of money because you're just buying one bag for all occasions instead of buying different bags....even if you buy those cheap ones, if you add it, buying one very good, all around, expensive bag would be more beneficial and economical for you.... clothes - i would say SPEND on clothes... you have to make sure that you're clothes don't shrink or change color after one time in the washer....because if that is the case, then you end up buying more and more clothes that result to you spending more on clothes than when you buy expensive ones that would last for more than a year.... stockings - we're better off if we SAVE on this one.....because no matter how expensive the stocking is, it would run after a couple of uses.....so since your just going to throw it after two uses, why buy something so expensive, right? that's what i can think of now...i would add more next time....how about you? on what do you SPEND?
