My friend told me about this fruit ..which really is an apple ..looks like an apple but tastes like a grape? I must tell you ..I went to Foodland and bought 4 ..and it cost me $5.00 for the grapples..I still have 2 sitting in the fridge...I think that apples should taste like apples and not grapes..but I tried it.. I really don't care for grapples.. Anyone else had a grapple? You can read more on grapples here: http://www.grapplefruits.com/process.html

I've heard of them and had them. Not too much difference in taste. It really tastes like a sweetened apple most times, with some sporadic grape taste. They may have to put this thing back on the genetic drawing board.

Hi littlefranciscan! Oh, I never heard of grapple before. This is the first time I learned about it. I guess, it is interesting and I am really curious. Maybe, one of these days it will be imported in our country and maybe I will buy a few and try it. Take care and have a nice day! :)

I have seen those in the store. I wanted to try one too. The price was the same here. 4 for 5.00 and I couldnt justify spending that much on something so questionable.

If my friend didnt show such interest in them ..I probably would have passed them by; for me that is too much even for a grapple!

Wow I have never heard of something such as that. But I will have to definitely check that out. I am very curious about this type of apple. That is crazy how people are always coming up with ideas. So I guess if you love apples why not try the grapples, lol.

Evem if people just try it once..at the price they are selling..the originator of such an apple is probably already an millionaire several times over.

So it costs a buck and a quarter for an apple with grape 'flavor' and water in it? Oh that's nuts ... If I ate an apple and drank some grape juice it would probably be cheaper (and grape JUICE would be better than FLAVOR).

I see those in the grocery store all the time. I am way too cheap to buy them though. My kid's stepmom bought some last summer though so I got to taste one. To me they had the consistancy of an apple and an artificial grape taste. Kind of like eating and apple that tasted like grape kool-aid.

I tried them about 2 years ago. I paid $4.99 for a 4 pack of them. I really wish that they sold them separately because after the first one I didn't want another. I didn't like them and I do not plan on buying them again.

Last summer at the grocery store I worked at they tried to sell them, for about 1 week. They didn't sell. For one thing it smelled like artificial grape flavoring, for another, you could just marinate your own if you really wanted a grape flavored apple. I thought it was just plain weird, not appealing. Who wants to buy fruit that comes in a plastic container like that? It's a real turn off, plus the weirdness.

I have heard of grapples but never saw one or tasted one.Ilove both grapes and apples but grapples sound rather expensive to me.I wonder how they created this fruit as grapes are so different from apples. I might try onesome day if I can find them in the stores.

i think the reason why it's called a grapple because as you've said, it looks like an apple but tastes like a grape. i heard it a year ago but i have no idea what it looks like and tastes like. hope i can get one of those so i can taste it.

Yes, I have tried Grapples. I have known about them for almost two years now. They taste like grape medicine just a little bit. I can buy these at Piggly Wiggly in my town. I like them a little bit, gut I prefer my green apples.

I saw these at the store and considered getting them, but the price put me off. Now that you've tried them for me, I can save the time and money
