You are just walking by the usual path that you usually take on your way home. The wind suddenly blew strong and made you close your eyes for a little bit while you kept on walking. By the time you regained your vision, you saw an old shack along the way that wasn't typically there of all the times you went pass that route. Passing infront of the old shack, you heard a voice calling your attention. You went in with some strange reason and there you met man, rough on the chin with his unshaved beard, smoking a long cigarette and one eye not visible due to a long thick fringe covering the other. His left hand was raised close to his left shoulder and there you saw him holding a hammer. Then the man spoke to you. "I can make you a sword of any fashion. Describe it and I shall forge it exactly as you have imagined." Of course, you start to wonder why would this stranger grant you such an item in the first place but, as you eyes wander within the shack, you see portraits of such characters that you know of. "Those are some of the swordsmen that others have requested to be made a sword from." the man spoke as he noticed you looking at them. You saw Kenshin Himura on one row. Then Yaiba Kurogane, Takeshi Onimaru, Musashi Miyamoto, Kojiro Sasaki, Jubei Yagyu on a another row. Ichigo Kurosaki and other characters from Bleach on a separate row, Hiei of Yu Yu Hakusho on another. Van of Gun X Sword. You even went further as you looked on video game characters like Mitsurugi of Soul Calibur, Ky Kiske of Guilty Gear, Sephiroth of Final Fantasy VII. As you looked on and on, you realized that every portrait was either an anime or video game character who weilded a sword. Overwhelmed, you mentioned the sword of which you wanted to the man. He smirked and then told you, "Come back tomorrow with your best friend.. Your swords shall be made the following day." You then wondered on such a condition, you even thought that he might do something terrible to who you will bring yet, as he noticed your expression, he immediately assured you. "I will not harm your friend, I will only make your friend a sword as well that can match yours." He then showed you out of his shack and you tarried away. The next day, you went to the shack yet, having no best friend along. Instead you brought your crush which you also considered will be your best friend if you do end up together. There, your crush awed at the portraits of swordsmen and some swordswomen and was also offered to be made a sword of any fashion. Both excited, the both of you left the shack after your crush stated the sword which will be forged. ~So, which sword would you like to get for yourself as well as for your crush? Why? After careful consideration, please read on the following Both of you returning the following day, the man gave you your swords. He suddenly then tells you, "These swords, as they match each other, shall always cross whenever one of you bears intense emotions. You cannot get rid of them n'or break them yourselves." Right after hearing that, your crush cried and suddenly brandished the newly acquired sword at you while you instinctively defended yourself.

so the ending was the crush also had a crush on you? all that just for that? what was kenshin's and the other's role there? if i were to pass by that shack and met that man, i wouldn't bring along a bestfriend, i would bring someone i am annoyed at, someone not an anime fan and someone not good at swords, so when i feel the intense emotion of anger, i would easily defeat that person. and then i would steal all those portraits, or just even Kenshin's, Ichigo's and other Bleach character's portraits.

Well, I just had the plot going and I needed some ideas about this story I'm trying to come up. Basically, I needed reactions. I mean, aside from the one I had in mind, by situating readers on character roles I could come up with other ideas as well as thickening the plot a bit more. That's why the catch for forging such swords were only mentioned on the last part. How would you handle that kind of situation perhaps? You immediately assumed that the one brought by the main character also felt the same way. If that were the case, how would you get them out of the situation to have the typical happy ending? Then again, after reading everything, you made a more preferable choice that you have mentioned in your response. The roles of the portraits were just references in case the one who wishes to be made a sword fancies those that one of the photos owned and not an entirely self-imagined sword.

naruhodo. so you're making a fanfic? and its samurai-themed? good luck! its a hard plot for a story in my opinion. hmmm... i guess i'm a little bit hopelessly romantic that's why my first conclusion was the crush also has a crush to that person. ^__^;; to give them a happy ending, i guess they both have to give it up. if that's not allowed, then they just have to kill each other and then make a promise that in the afterlife, they will meet again and if they don't know each other there (just like in the soul society of Bleach), they'll just develop the same feeling. i guess it didn't matter to me what kind of swords i would have just as long as i can defeat the enemy. and have those portraits! but if i would to choose from the swords of those in the portraits, i would choose Rukia's. not because i like her but because her sword and technique seems so elegant.

Oh no.. fan fics have main characters that come from actual anime or manga series. I only gave such characters as references with no actual participation in the story I had in mind. Hehehe, I guess its not that interesting if its hard Who doesn't want a happy ending after all? Your solutions are plausible.. well, I guess those could work for last resort.. after life? I'd have a hard time taking in too much info to calibrate the story into accomodating an after life aspect into it.. now that's hard For a hopeless romantic, you sure do want to defeat someone.. would you also be elegant on doing so?
