Quitting smoking while sick

Okay so I have been trying to quit smoking for some time now. I have been sick for almost 3 weeks now. I smoked the whole time until today. I haven't smoked at all and I hoping to keep it that way. That is usually how I quit, when I am sick. It lasts for a few weeks and then I sart up again. My question is, is quitting while I am sick just setting me up for starting up again? Is it not a good idea to use being sick as a reason to quit?

i know that it is hard because i have saw my mom try to quit smoking for sometime now and it is not easy for her and she has tried almost everything that you can think of...but the only thing that she has found that will help her kill the urge is those sour candy things called warheads and she has said before that that will kill the taste buds in your mouth therefore you won't want a cig or anything like that and that might help you... jhl930

that is really weird I've never heard of someone eating those to help stop smoking.

sometimes being ill can be the perfect reason to stop smoking and whilst you are ill you prob feel like you do not want to smoke, as long as you ahve the willpower there is nothing wrong with quitting smoking whilst being ill. i wish you all the best xx
