i don't know if this goes here or not and it probably doesn't but i couldn't find anywhere that this might go...so here goes....i have heard before that if you work at a hotel you can get a discount on the rooms or something like that that they will give you a discount to get a room...what i was wondering is how much of a discount it is and how old you have to be to work at a hotel...i mean i was thinking about moving and was just wondering if i got a job at a hotel would they let me get a room everynight until i got a few paychecks for a discount?

I think probably not. Most employees, I think, don't live in the hotel they work in. I have also heard, I know a couple people who work in a hotel, that the discount isn't very much, maybe 10% off. So to me, that isn't much. I don't usually stay in a motel or hotel when I go away. I usually go away with my camper on the truck, so I stay in it. It can get costly if you had to pay for a hotel room, especially if you want to live in it. Good luck to you, my friend.

I have a few friends in the hotel business (they are both chefs). THey've both lived in the hotels free of charge - but only for a limited time, until they could find an apartment. A few months or so.
