Are you close to your mother?

yes i am very close to my mother we talk on the phone everyday, we go shopping together, we share cooking ideas, we like a lot of the same tv shows, i don't know what i would do if i didn't have my mother.

I am very close to my mom. I love just to go out and spend the whole afternoon with her. She's like my big sister/best friend. We do almost everything together when we get the chance as we live 4 hours away. We manage where I go see her for a week though.

No, I am not either. I do take her shopping and to the doctor and talk to her daily on the phone, but I don't call that close. She always says she loves me, but I never received it as a child. I'm a convenience to her now. I read somewhere that their parents loved them, but didn't give them love. That seems to apply to my mother, too.

Yes, I am. We always go out, shopping of course. We cook together and other stuff that we do together as our bonding time.

Unfortunately not - my mother and father divorced when I was about 14 months old and my mother always saw me as the cause of her divorce. I'm now 36, she's still bitter towards my father and still highly critical of me. No matter how wonderful my life is - I've just had it easy/been lucky/charmed or bs'd my way into, etc, etc, etc. I'm very envious of your relationship with your mother and hope you have many wonderful memories.
