Any Suggestions What To Buy For A 25th Wedding Anniversary Present?

I have been invited to a 25th Wedding Anniversary Party and was wondering if anyone had any ideas what I could buy for them. I think the item has to be silver so my only thought was a silver statue or two lovers entwined. Does this sound okay or after 25 years would they have so many ornaments it would just be something else to have to dust? Suggestions please or thoughts on the statue. Ellie :D

The entwined statues would be perfect as far as I am concerned. I haven't been to a silver anniversary for a very long time...someone I know though did take a tree branch and made a money tree using silver dollars..but that was a long time ago and not a very romantic gift! LOL.

Hi Jill I couldn't find silver statues but managed to find a loving couple statue handmade in sandstone and have uploaded a pic for you to see. As it was silver annivesary I have also bought a silver double heart shaped frame. Please let me know whether I have made a good choice. Ellie :D

Hi Jill, thanks for sharing, no these days marriages tend not to last that long to be able to celebrate this one eh! Shames, its admirable that these two have. I think I am going to go with the statue of the lovers as it is very romantic and says it all really. Ellie :D

A silver picture frame? I don't know what you want to spend. Maybe a silver ice bucket filled with ice and a bottle of champagne?

How weird is that I was only thinking about you last night as another friend I wasn't receiving any notifications from even though notifications was on and they had started discussions and I was thinking how I hadn't had notification of any of your discussions recently either or seen you on here, nice to see you're back Joyce. Yes a silver picture frame is a good idea, don't think they drink champagne though but thanks for sharing idea. I have known the husband since I was five years old and the wife about thirty years so I would like to get something a bit special, 25 years of marriage these days is such an achievment and to still be happy together even more so eh! what about a silver pen and pencil set? when my parents had their 25th, someone got them a coin set (which i thought was cool - it will go up in value one day...) but i dont think it has to be silver necessarily, how about a nice coffee table book? a nice plant? flowers? i guess i tend to think outside of the box...

Hi Thank you for all your wonderful suggestions, yeah the coin set does seem rather cool. I'm still leaning towards the lovers statue in a silver colour though. Will have a look around and see what I can find, but coin idea good. Ellie :D

Silver wedding anniversaries are so important and memorable. So, it would be better if you give a memorable present as well. In my case, since I am an artist in some sense, I prefer to make a portrait of the couple and have it framed with silver background.

Oh they definately have lots of pictures of the children around the home so a picture in a silver frame of them instead would be lovely, thanks for sharing your ideas on this one. Ellie :D

What about a silver picture frame into which they could put either a recent picture showing them as they are now, or a wedding photo from their album? While we're on the subject next year is our 35th annivrsary, anybody know if that has a name, like it's in between pearl (30) and ruby (40)? I got my wife some nic unusual black pearls for the 30th.

Congratulations on having achieved this many years of marriage, admirable in this day and age. 35th wedding anniversary is associated with coral so a really unusual gift with be a marine tank set up with beautiful corals. Silver picture frame a great idea, they have many of their childrens photos around the house but not many of them. I definately will go for something silver maybe something engraved. Thanks for sharing. Ellie :D

Lately a lot of the invitations for anniversaries say "No gifts please" because people have so many ornaments and everything else they need. The silver goblets are a wonderful idea but you know the couple, so you should ask yourself if the goblets will just be put away and get tarnished or if these friends appreciate silver. Silver is a lot of work if you want it to look nice. I think you should talk to the couple and find out if there is something they would really like and use. If there is something you could wrap it in a silver gift bag.

Hi Linda, I have been invited to a wedding also but the couple have requested donations to their favourite charity rather than gifts as they have most things already. I will ask the couple and yes I agree silver is hard to clean, so perhaps I will ask them or the wrapping in silver too an excellent idea. Thanks for sharing. Ellie :D

Hello there, I like your thought as it quite suits the meaning of the anniversary. In the mean time, I will suggest a big bunch of flowers with a classic vase will make the party special. Alternatively, you can buy them a CD with lots of romantic songs so that they may dance in the party follow the music.

Hi, I think they would appreciate plants rather than flowers and party is being held in a local hall which will be decorated anyway, the silver does go with the anniversary meaning. I like the CD idea and they have asked me to sing at the party (not that I think I can but they seem to think so)LOL. Thank you for sharing your ideas on this for me. Ellie :D

Thanks Littleowl I will definately go with something silver. Thoughts so far are a silver statue of two lovers, a cross, or and angel and have it engrave with their names. I have a little bit of ime to decide before purchasing and I'm sure I will find the right thing just for them. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. Ellie :D

celebrating 25th wedding anniversary is considered to be a milestone in almost every country because it is not everyday you celebrate spending half a century with the same person.since 25th anniversary is generally called silver anniversary, traditional and both modern customs is to gift something in silver.what you can do is to buy movie tickets or a show's tickets and tie them with silver ribbon!or you can gift them silverware.
