Would you choose to be immortal?

If the choice was up to you, would you decide to stay as a mortal or would you become an immortal?
I personally would choose to be mortal because I'm sure I'll be ready to die sooner or later. I can't imagine watching all my friends and family members keep dying before me either.
If it was up to you, would you choose to be immortal?

I would not want to be immortal. I could not deal with watching my family and others that I love dying and leaving me. Especially my daughter. Immortality is definitely not for me.

I think that I would choose to stay mortal if I could choose where I stopped aging. That way I think I would get the best of both worlds, I'm not about compromise. :P
I don't like the thought of having to watch everyone I was close to dying. I hate the thought that every time I would get close to someone, they would die... It would be a little too bleak for me.
