I never used to, because my service provider cost too much to buy a ringtone. I figured I'd start to get bored with the song anyway, so why waste $2.50 on it right? I know, right, lol.
I found a website a few months ago, where you can get all your ringtones for free, and no, it's not a scam. I'm not telling you about it so you will sign up under me, because well, they don't have a referral program.
All they need is your cell phone number, and no, they don't charge you any hidden fees, I've been with the site for months now and haven't been charged for ANYTHING. You can even upload your own MP3, and create your own ringtones as well. I've done it already, plenty of times.
Anywho, the website is www.myxertones.com. It's a great site, and I thought that people here would like it. If you have any questions just message me, or comment here.

No, I've had no problems with the site what so ever. A lot of my friends use it as well, which is how I found the site in the first place. There are ringtones there that you can pay for as well, by artists that post them, but you are given a chance what kind of ringtones you get from the site. I've never been charged for anything. The site also states in their guidlines and user agreement that there is no hidden fees or charges, so, if they do start charging people out of nowhere, then they are in for a lawsuit.

I always but my ringtones on my phone, its easier that way. What i usually do is set a ring tone for every group like for example when my mom or my sister or brother calls me i set "family affair" by mary blige ringtone and when my boyfriend calls me "promise" by jagged head will play on my phone.

I used to download ringtones, but I got a new phone (the LG Chocolate) and bought the music kit that goes along with it. I found a program that allows me to make my own ringtones and wallpapers, so now I just connect the phone to the computer and download straight to the phone.
