Okay so I am taking the plunge and going to try to become a plus size model. I am working on getting back into shape but in the meantime use what I do have...what do you all think? Do you think I have what it takes? I mean I think I have a pretty face? Would you try out if you think you could do it?

Well to let you know you need a portfolio. Preferably professional. If you can see if you can have your make up done by a professional that does for lighting. I can tell you personally, I have done shoots, the first thing someone sees is your photo.
I just thought I would let you know, since I have been though this here in NY.
The other thing is see who hires plus size models, how you can contact them.
Every one is looking for something different and if you have a great head shot, that is your way into the door. The rest is up to you.
Yes try, I tried for Hell's Kitchen and made it to the final round. No I may not have made it but I have also been on T.V. two times, once for Cash Cab and the other for a Charmin commercial. They picked me out of thousands that day to do what was asked. It was kinda cool. I was in person on this but my head shot was good if you know what I mean.
Good luck.
Ainge
