Despite the fact that you do not understand, read or speak Japanese...do you find Jpop songs to be entertaining? For me,I really don't understand Japanese at all,but when I listen to Jpop songs, I learn new words and phrases! So,I find it interesting, not only that I enjoy good music, I'm also learning a new language! Yep, exactly, that's why I listen to them. 10 years ago I don't understand Japanese, but after listening to it, I learned the language and I can understand most of the lyrics. Even now, Jpop is my favorite genre.

Wow, that's good. Im also self-studying Japanese for almost a year. So far so good. I also included writing and reading Kanji. I have many writings of Japanese kanji. Almost 2cm thick in yellow paper back to back.

I love listening to Japanese pop. I can't stand how American music sounds these days. I'm 22, but I sometimes wish the music style of the 40s and 50s were still popular But about the Japanese music, I just love how the music sounds. I don't understand Japanese, but that doesn't bother me. In fact, I find I don't get distracted by the lyrics. Sure, I listen to both the music and the vocals, but I can do other things and not get too lost in the lyrics. I have learned a few words from listening to it, but I don't make an effort to pick up new terms.

I love JPop. =) I barely listen to anything else. I love how everything is so happy and cheerful and glittery and bouncy. Obviously, I'm talking about JE (Johnny's Entertainment) songs but I've listened to anime songs before and they're extremely fun. And yes, it doesn't really matter if I have to look up lyric translations on the internet just so I could understand what's being said. =)

Jpop is my favorite type of music! Although it's a bit biased since I have been learning Japanese for a few years on my own, but I do generally understand what it's about, but I usually look up the English translation of the lyrics to fully understand. I like the boy bands more than the girl bands though, just because the girl bands in Jpop seem too happy and perfect. My favorites include Hey!Say! JUMP, Arashi, NEWS, and Flumpool~

Yes, definitely. I like JPOP so much although I can't understand completely the whole song but i understand some words. That's why I'm self-studying Japanese language and also Kanji. Now I can read some Kanji and also Hiragana and Katakana. All of my song in my PC is in all JPOP. I'm listening JPOP for almost 3 years.

I have the same feeling. Even though I can't understand a word in most Japanese songs (except for the occasional English words here and there), I do enjoy the music. This must be due to the great melody and voice in J-Pop. However, I do find it challenging to learn Japanese language through songs... Especially when they are rapping at neck-breaking speed...
