The ratings

The ratings on a discussion...you know the plus sign, the minus sign and the exclamation mark? Well what exactly is it for? I mean if you rate a reply or discussion with a plus does that help that person's rating go up, earnings go up or what? Or does anyone know?

You must be very good. Your total replies or post is only 325 but your number is 10 already. Since I'm still a week old here, I still dont understand things concerning to these ratings, but this post and your friend's replies had given me some helpful information, soon I'll try to apply those...

the + sign helps to increase the reputation of that person. but i believe only one + will not make much difference. in terms of reputtaion, the star is based. but i am not sure whether greater star means greater earning.

yes the + and - signs will affect the reputation of the responder.More - signs will surely reduce the rating and will decrease the number in the star.constant -ve ratings will even makes the response to be deleted and may be questioned by mylot.i dont think it will affect the earnings.
