I watched this the other week and was pleased to find another addition to the genre of great British horror-comedies. I love the dry sense of humour and when paired with a horror theme it's usually never a miss for me. My all-time favourites are "Dogsoldiers" and "Shaun of the Dead", although "Severance" was superb also. "The Cottage" is about a botched kidnapping by a pair of hapless brothers and it is set in the middle of nowhere. They take a gangster's daughter to a cottage in a remote area of the countryside, only to have her escape, taking one of the brothers hostage. The interaction of the characters is really funny but another layer is added when a stalking, crazed, monstrous serial killer happens across them. The film includes Andy Serkis (Gollum! great actor!) and Reece Shearsmith from "League of Gentlemen". Has anyone else seen this yet? What did you think?
