Just so you know, Mastodon falls under Progressive Metal/Sludge from the genre tags I have seen. And if you want to be funny about Mastodon, they can also be considered. "Whalecore."

Whalecore came to be when they relased the Leviathan album which had the whale on the cover from Moby D*ck.

i forget the names of songs :P but i remember hearing a few songs 10-15 minutes, i think R Kelly had 1 that was really long nearly 20 minutes or so im not sure but if he didn't he was one of those 10-15 minute songs i heared anyways.

that song used to be on "The LambChops Show" believe me, i know...cuz when my kids where little they used to watch it...and that song goes on and on.....after the tv's off....in the car...in the backyard....AHHHHH!!!!!

The longest song I have listened to id Disco Inferno from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. I think it was about 20 minutes.

The longest song i have listen that is 15 minutes nearly so that so long but when i compare to you are favorite song is nearly 23 minutes that is amazing we can see few songs like that.

The longest song I have heard would probably be the Beatles' "Hey Jude" and "Revolution #9" or Don McLean's "American Pie." I know it wasn't as long as the ones you pointed out, but these songs were the longest I have heard.

Mine is probably "Supper's Ready" by Genesis. It's divided into seven parts and runs 22:54.

i'm not sure how long it is, but like 2112, Led Zeppelin's "Dazed and Confused" took up the whole side of the album. (for you youngsters out there, an "A-L-B-U-M" is the music media us old timers listened to before cd's and IPOD's)....Rush's "Bytor and the snowdog" is pretty long to.
