Identify my favorite flowering bush (please)

Flowering Bush - I love this flowering bush but do not know what it is called.

My favorite flowering bush in our yard is this one... I think it is called a flowering almond. It is a very light pink and has many blossoms on each branch. The blossoms are very full and frilly and remind me of miniature carnations. This bush does not get very tall though. Can any one verify with me whether it is a Flowering Almond or not? We have also a Jasmine shrub that is just lovely with its bright yellow blossoms.

It's really pretty, and I want one now. I've been wanting to add some nice flowering shrubs to my landscape.

thank you karen, it is really pretty. It does have a tendency to grow a lot of suckers though.

I believe you are right, I think that is a flowering almond. I can't see really details of it from the picture though. I'm attaching a picture of a close up on the blooms of the flowering almond so you can try to confirm if it is or not!:)

I am unsure myself. Are you aware of the mobile apps that give you a plant ID based on photos you take? I would advise taking several more photos and running them through your app, or else if you want to be positive, you can email them to some botanists at your local extension.
