How do we add meta tags to a blog?

My husband has made a blog investword.blogspot.com and we want to add meta tags to this blog. We have generated meta tags through a free generator but are not being able to place those tags on the site. Can any body guide us on this issue and do meta tags help in increasing the ranking of the blog on search engines.

At Blogspot if you go into "layout" - "edit html" - then you can add your meta-tags.
The way blogs are ranked this won't make as much difference as some people try to suggest. The better way is to have proper "labels" on the articles you post to your blog. Blogspot calls "tags" by "labels".
