Yes my son is 12yrs. old and the scar is still numb. The nerves were cut so numbness is just a side effect.

Mine was 12 years ago and I am still numb around the scar, the doctor said it was normal because nerves were cut and not to worry about it.

It took a while for me to no longer be numb (but then, that was nearly 15 years ago, so I don't really remember...). Your body was cut open--now it's got to heal. How long has it been? A little while to your doctor may be a really long while to you. Ask them for more clarification.

Scars have no nerve endings so if its the scar spot you're worried about its common to no long have feeling there for that reason!

YES! And itchy, too! My neighbor had it for a couple of years- mine lasted for several months and the itching lasted much longer..a couple of years I would say. I was SO upset when I had to have a c-section and I recall saying later "I can't believe people opt to do this! At least with a natural birth, when the pain is over IT'S OVER...what's up with this months later still feelin' it garbage?!?" lol...I was a little bitter about missing out on having another natural birth. (gee, ya think?) Anyway, it will go away eventually. How long has it been?
