Hello my lot users, I have a simple question that perhaps some long time members of my lot can answer. My question is this when your amount drops by like eight cents, what does that mean exactly. This has never happened before but last night it was updated but this evening I checked and it had gone back down by eight cents. Does anyone have any reason for this or is it just them adjusting things? Thanks for helping me understand.

It is very interesting either way but I can understand it is their job at the end of the day and I totally respect that. It can be a bit disheartening, just a touch to see it go down but you get over it because it is apart of the updating and double checking process and part of the cleaning up process that the staff have to go though to keep it a good site. They are doing a splendid job.

It is a great place to be when you are unable by some means to do much else. I love being able to do something even while I lay in bed if I am ill that is. Even if I just browse and check out other things, it is good to still be doing something and stay active, well your mind anyway can. That is the best part.

I guess it's been explained already, but I still want to add more to it.. And I do hope that I could! Aside discussions/posts being deleted, the admin also tend to recalculate and sort the earnings in no particular date. But most of the times, they do this during the end of the month and the start of the next month. They have to maintain the site, do some "clean-ups" and remove those they believe are less contributive posts/discussions. Also, to learn more about this topic, please do check this link that mylot administrators has provided for us to refer to: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/457762.aspx

Thank you so much for your input, every bit helps especially the new comers who struggle in a new environment and do need that added help from the their peers. So many nice people here and is no wonder that they all want to help so that the other person can better understand and learn from their mistakes. I think it is fair what they do and hope they continue to keep it clean as you have mentioned.

they are adjusting things. most often it means that one or more of the discussions you participated in have been removed/deleted for some reason or another. Did you happen to notice if the number next to your username also went down?

Well that also went down but like that was before day before the change went on. I don't really understand the star thing all that much and would love to know what it all means and thanks for the explanation. I do appreciate it. I know now that many things get removed or deleted like you said.

The main points I have gathered from people is the fact that things go because staff needs to clean up the site, it is part of their routine and guidelines so that it is a better working site. That seems to be the main reason for the rewards going down and people saying you have to watch out for the controversial issues being discussed. I guess some of them cross boundaries and it is understandable if they get taken off. Yes I am still learning but happy to.

Yes that is cool and your right I guess there would be many newbies that are thinking the same thing or wondering what is going on and to talk about it is really a good thing to help members and new people.
