Sounds to me like you have a business or a premier paypal account. The only fee paypal charges is if you have a Business ACCT or a Premier ACCT. If your paypal account is a personal account, you will have no fees to pay. You have to check and see what kind of account you signed up for, just log into your account and where your name is, it should say under it Account Type:Personal, Account Type:Business, Account Type:Premier. You can change the type of account you have if it isn't a personal one. Look at enhance your account it should be listed there. Hope this helps and good luck ~Icy~

Some sites...myLot for example, pay the PayPal fees so that those who receive the money don't have to pay for the PayPal fees. This is really nice. However, you apparently got paid by someone who doesn't do this and you ended up paying PayPal for that payment. These fees aren't as bad if you get larger payments. Also if you have a non-business account at AlertPay you can get paid for free and some websites will pay you this way.

Paypal never puts any fees on personal accounts but it charges some fees for receiving money into premium account. So it is possible that you had choosen premium account while signing up at paypal. Many people do this without knowing about the fees so first login into your paypal account and see if its personal account or premium. If its premium, then fees is due to it. But if its personal account, then visit the site from which you have got paid and see they have mentioned anywhere that they charge some transaction fee for processing payment through paypal because many sites do this. Then about getting reply from paypal. Sometimes they reply even after 3 days. So you'll have to wait. Hope this helps!

Why don't you check the rules again ? It seems they collect certain percentage of our earnings towards processing fees..

The thing is whether you have a personal, premiere or a business account, if the sender pays by credit or debit card, paypal charges. For fees details, please refer https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_dispaly-fees-outside This fees is applicable if you have funds in USD. Apart from the percentage they charge they charge a flat fee of $0.3. In your case, flat fee($0.3)+ 0.04$ being charges.

I suppose you are charged by the site owner for the transaction. I am also from India and it did not happen with PayPal.

Paypal has fees for receiving payments for you and they will charge you for it. Paypal will probably tell you that it is in the user agreement that they take fees from you.

PayPal Takes 2,9 % + 30 cents of all payments that you receive.
