Should they? I said no once until my uncle change my mind. Picture this: If you an accident and someone hits you, if this person doesn't have any type of documentation how are you going to track them down?

No they shouldn’t. If you are not registered with the government as a citizen you should not have the right to drive. If you get in an accident you get all their information and call the police out so that you have a report. If they are driving without a license they will go to jail most places. Plus, you can always find out the person who owns the car – assuming the plates are not stolen.

True to that. Not here in LA, CA. If they are driving without a license you just get a ticket. DMV let's you put the car under your name even if you don't have a licensed

I say no. I'm from Michigan and I was glad when our Secretary of State said no and it was according to a law on our books already. If they are not a legal resident of our state, they cannot have a driver's license in Michigan. If they are not legal in the country, then they cannot be legal in the State. Easy, uh? And who really thinks the information on an illegal's driver's license is accurate to "track them down"?

good question??? How do we know if the information provided it's real? although I will assume their birth certificate and passport will be their identity.

No they should not be allowed to get a drivers license. Illegal immigrants shouldn't be driving a car, they shouldn't be getting free health care, cash assistance or food stamps if they are here illegally. They are not paying taxes and contributing to the system. It's not fair that we should have to pay for them. If you are hit by one with a license, they probably won't pay anyway unless they have insurance.

I say no. But, I also think that becomming a legal working citizen in the US should be made a LOT easier. And, i also think that the laws that they have out there like "Don't hire an illegal citizen" and "don't let illegal citizen's drive" should be ENFORCED! I don't think America would have such a huge problem with Illegal immigrants if we just enforced the current laws we have! But really, I am ALL FOR immigration, it's how America was FOUNDED! So welcome to America, please do everything the right way and pay your taxes like the rest of us do! And Law enforcement and big businesses please uphold the law and your civil duty by obeying them! I mean really, if you couldn't find work being an illegal immigrant, you'd become legal or go back to your home country, wouldn't you?
