I have a quandry that has bothered me for many years and that no one has satisfactally answered. The beautiful blue whale, the mightiest creature on the planet can surely have no natural enemy outside of man. Even the giant squid would not take on a whale over 100 ft in length. So can someone tell me how the blue whale dies? The whale is a mammal, so if it has no natural enemy then it must die of old age and become unable to support itself and drown? is this the sad end of this wonderful creature or does someone have a more scientific answer?

intruth axle.. blue whales DO have a natural enem outside of man.. killer whales. they have been known to attack in packs and kill blue whales, so no.. they dont always just get too tired to swim.. and die slowly.
