or you can download the ISO of it, for free such as the one released by a WiNK. It is an exact image of the retail disk, and is the same as if you were to buy it in a store (although it does not include a serial number, but there are many provided on the internet and in the NFO of the release).
Microsoft also makes deals with some companies with a home use program which allows you to get genuine versions of Office for about $20. I got Office 2003 and 2007 this way.
