I just discovered by accident a website that is a great place for anyone in the artistic fields to advertise and be listed, sort of a directory of a who's who in the art line. You can be involved in any one of these following fields to list yourself at this website known as ArtChain. Book/Paper Calligraphy Ceramics / Pottery Collage / Assemblage Drawing Fiber Glass Jewelry Masks Mixed Media Painting Photography Plastic and Polymer Print Making Sculpture Stamping Wood / Carving Other Visual Art Dance / Acrobatic Music Theater Other Performance If you happen to have your own website to show off your work, you can list it, so that people interested in your type of work can view what you do...I just signed up, and my listing should be showing up in a day or so. Best of all this website directory listing is free! If you don't have your own website to list, they actually DO have a website service for you to build your own professional looking site...uh, but a humdinger of a cost with a basic set up fee of $950 for first year hosting, and most websites are listed as costing for $1500 to $3,000..yikes! You can even set up a fairly decent website with Blogger or BlogSpot, or Bravehost or Freewebs.
