Why can't I start the discussion about Olympics!!!

Last night, I have used an hour to finish a topic including Beijing Olympics, however, when I click the start discussion, the system didn't allow me to start it, and erase all of my words. This time, I handle it again carefully, but the same thing happened just a few minutes ago, I am very frustrated now.

Sorry you couldn't start it, what do you think about the games being in your country? You might be upset at all the global protests. I have mixed feelings about your country...I so admire the culture but despise the government, as I despise my own. I would be interested to learn what people in your country (won't mention which, trying out the censors!) think about the games and the effect on the people. I've read about people losing their homes to new buildings and no accommodations made for them. It was heartbreaking to see them in tears over the loss of their houses, no beds for the children and no place for the old ones to rest comfortably. Your country has now almost matched mine in greed and contempt for its people.

Hi, dragon. I think if we continue to discuss this more specificlly, it will last several days. Beacuse we have different culture, and also the direct reason is that we have influnced by our own media Lots of people from mylot told me that Chinese people could not know what happened. I admit that from TV it is turly that we get less information. However, as a university student, I can get informaion from some famous website, such as CNN,BBC or Yourube. What you have posted reminds me of my foreign teacher from Israel. At his first class, I stood up and asked him a question , Is your country always full of bombs and terrorists? To my surprised, he answer is definately not, and they live in peaceful life.Suddenly, I realized that I made a mistake that I was determined by our media. So I decided to stay in Israel to form my own judgement. I have been to Tibet, a beautiful and peaceful place. Also I respect their religions. I cannot understand why so many people protest our country due to this reason. I admit our country is a developing coutry, poverty still exsit. Maybe that is what you have seen from News. But our government have improved it. Another reason we cannot blame our government is these things related to historic ramains. Those are more sophisticated. In a word, our life is not horrible as some westen media reflacted. We do have a long way to improve our system, but we still hold the hope, beacuse fear will set you as a prisoner, but hope can set you free.

Your reply is exactly why I asked, because I know that the media in my country has an agenda, something they want people to believe that doesn't take facts into account. In our media accounts, your country looks like it is oppressing people and killing and imprisoning them for their political views. No other point of view is presented. So I reserve my opinion until I know all the facts. Please, tell me more. Why is there such trouble about Tibet? What do they want and why does your country object to it? What do you think of the spiritual leader of Tibet? I won't name him so perhaps we can continue this without violating the sensitive discussion rule this place evidently has. You can always email me at dragon54u@mail.com if this discussion is deleted. If you have email notification, you should get this reply. I've always been troubled by the bias of news medias around the world. They don't tell their countries the truth and my country is as guilty as others. I don't trust the news. I would much rather hear from someone who is living the news than people that report it.

I don't see why you can post it unless you are cutting and pasting, you cannot do that until you have 500 posts.
