It is now 2008 another New Year and we are now 4 months in have you kept your resolutions or have you already given up? My year start with a bang, I was hit by an unlicensed driver with no insurance, but I am not letting that set the tone of my year. I don't make resolutions myself but I have set several goals that I am achieving. How about you?

Well hello billionaire! Long time no see..... How have you been? Gosh I haven't seen you in ages! I don't make New Year's resolutions. I think making resolutions set yourself up for huge disappointment. Most people don't keep their resolutions. I do however set goals, but they are goals that are constant with a progressive theme. I am convinced we have a basic theme to follow. Within that theme are goals that reflect that theme. Sometimes the theme may change or alter itself. Sometimes it shoots off in a totally different direction, but I think the major theme is always there. It might be hiding in the background, waiting for you to get back on track and it might surround itself with other options, or maybe, different ways to see the theme, but, in the long run, the theme, remains. The goals we set for ourselves usually reflect that theme. At least in my life they do. Each step taken in my life has led me closer to accomplishing that theme, along with the goals to see the theme come center stage. It's nothing that makes me special or takes me to the popular 15 minutes of fame, but it has led me to a comfortable lifestyle, one that I'm satisfied with and please with - because I have worked the goals to polish the theme. My particular theme is simple. It has been, throughout my life, to become the best me I could be, no matter where that led me - and trust me - it's led me down some very interesting paths. I think it's a reflection of a successful life when one can look back and be happy and content with the achievements. Even the darkness had certain lessons hidden within. When life gives you lemons, add a little sweetener to cut the bitterness - then it's not really so bad. The bitterness always lingers, but we are reminded of the sweetness - every now and again. I guess it all makes it worth sticking around to see how it turns out... For me? I'm looking forward to each coming day, just to see the unfolding of older goals and the making of new ones.

Hello terilee! Yes it has been quite a while. I have come through an answered a few discussions but it has never been the same since you and a few others left. Great to see your response, as always well thought out and full of wisdom. I have been fine and I must say I have missed having discussions with you. I agree with you about life having a theme, as for the lemons I add a lot of sweetness so I can't taste too much of the bitterness. I look forward to seeing what unfolds each day and expand on each goal I set then add new goals when different things develop. God it is so good to hear from you.

That's the thing billionaire - dealing with it one day at a time, even here at mylot. Yes, I left for a while - obligations, work, and making my future sound....but I've been back for a few months. Seems like the discussions just keep going down hill, so, once again, one day at a time. I read, I laugh, I read more, then I find something that is just so far out there, I have to shut down or I'll end up blowing a gasket, so I don't respond. Every once in a while now, I start something, but it's just to keep myself active. If I was waiting to get rich from this place I'd be waiting forever, so I learned a long time ago to just take things with a grain of salt I wonder what we would do without the 'sugar' to add to the lemonade. I know I have to pour it on just about everything these days - but the 'sugar' is Good, and He provides everything we need to get by in this world. It's so good to hear from you again. Just keep on doing it 'cause it's right, and good for you. Be blessed sister.

Thank you and yes it seems we have to add it to everything, but as you said one day at a time. I have come back occasionally and answered here and there, I just couldn't come up with anything to discuss. I received a message from caramello that she was back and a response from some of the discussions I answered and I came up with something to say. And with your response I have been inspired again. I guess having a good discussion and someone to discuss it with helps with writers block. But as a writer I know you understand about needing a little motivation and inspiration.

i have just learned what my true dreams are. and I am in the process of making them come to life. life has a funny way of shaking things up for you. throwing you a curve ball if you will. I think that when your faith is so strong there isn't a curve ball big enough to keep you away from your devine purpose. Good to see you on

Inner love is where it begins and ends, once you achieve this it is just an up hill ride after that. So buckle up and enjoy the ride, there is nothing better than inner peace and peace of mind.

One thing about dealing with curve balls is to pick the right bat so you can hit them out of your life. Yes, faith, positivity and goodness of heart will always keep you on the path to your divine purpose. Thanks, missed seeing some of the interesting discussions.

Well this year I did not make any resolutions but it certainly started off with a bang when my daughter rang to say her marriage of 11 months was over. They have been together for 6 years and although there was an age difference and he has issues I just went along and kept my mouth zipped.....so obviously did she, so now the truth has come out and my shock at the breakup it has not been such a good start. Must say I have had worse! And also finacial issues with my son so when my phone does not ring or I don't receive text messages I am getting through each day! Oh and a few health issues for me as well......what a good year so far!
