HP Compaq Presario

Has anyone else had problems with this computer? Granted, mine is now 3 years old......I have had problems with it since it was about 3 months old. I have all updated software, needed a new dvdr drive at 2 years old, and now my USB's do not want to work. I have researched this problem, and it is not uncommon in this model for the USB's to stop working all together. I now have the problem that when I plug in my son's mp3, it recognizes it as a disc.........what the heck is up with that? Any advice? Anyone with the same problems? I have had pleanty more not listed here....

Yes, I have one. It wont even read discs anymore! I clean everything out, and regularly maintain it, everything is supposed to be OK and working. (HA HA) It's slower than my gramma at 101!!! I'm sure I could add more problems to the list also. #:)

I for 1 do not recommend Compaq Presario to any of my customers unless they insist they want. My sis-in-law got her Compaq Presario laptop fr another vendor. It was a Linux unit so I had to install WinXp for her. It took me ages to find the sound driver & I even contacted the live help support thingy fr d US & I'm fr Malaysia by the way. They never got to solve my problem after Downloading so many drivers, duh. In the end by bro-in-law's fren did manage to install the sound driver for her though. Compaq Presario - expensive & lame after sales support.
