Hi guys~! Which brand of LCD monitor do you guys prefer? What brands have you used so far & which brand do you find is the best? I'm personally using an Acer AL1717 with built in speakers. The colour is not that superb compared to View Sonic which my lil' sis uses but still not too much to complain as it's still a decent one. I've seen BenQ & I find it to be of lower image quality compared to Acer. I've sold Samsung before but never used it. HEard it's one of the best. LG is another leading brand as well from where I come from. So any inputs?

My LCD is still on my list, but by that time, which of course a lot cheaper than now, I'll put your suggestion in mind. Color, brilliance and style are my determining factors.

Normally they don't. Even if they do, I suppose they come with a converter as I see Samsung LCDs with inches 22 & 24 has both VGA+DVI input.

You didn't mention the brand of your LCD? Yup, colour & brilliance is very important to me but the price also comes into consideration. An Acer 17" wide screen is now only RM515 but a 17" Samsung is around RM640 retailing. But of course it has a heat sensing function which I haven't really done any research on. Another brand that's coming to my mind is Asus that's really cool. It has woofers built into it as well but with a hefty price of about RM1300-RM1400. That was the last time I enquired about the price. Not sure how much it costs now.

Prefrences varies depending on the requirements. People use computers for so many purposes like movie watching, gaming, surfing, official purposes, educational purpose. So choice of monitor should be done carefully and accordingly within the budget. Since the prices are also the important criteria. I have lenovo tft monitor which suits me.

I have a Dell 19-inch widescreen. I absolutely love it. It's my first LCD and it's so much better than my old monitor. I haven't compared it to other monitors, though. I found it at a great buy and it looked better than what I had, so I picked it up. I don't think I'd even consider one less than 19-inches.

Yup, a 19" will be nice, haha. I'm still at 17". Might consider it later since the price is very cheap & reasonable nowadays. Dell monitors are not bad. I should say they are on par with View Sonic & slightly better than HP. I'm still waiting for someone to give me feedbacks on LG & Samsung as I've never used them before though I've heard that they're very good

So far I've never personally used Dell monitors though I've seen the LCDs are not too bad in terms of resolution. I has the bulky Samsung Syncmaster flat screen as well. Never had any problems with it & the resolution is good as well.

Hmmm...not really bothered about the brand. As long as the screen is wide enough for me is fine besides my husband makes all the decisions on pc stuff.

I have an IBM lcd monitor at home. At work we have a generic brand and a Phillips. I really prefer the Phillips out of those three but If i was purchasing a new one for myself I'd be ordering one of the 19" widesceen Aers. We've had benQ ones come in quite often at work with failed power supplies.

I use HP's LCD. i bought this used LCD from a computer shop and it is working very well. So i can say HP is best brand in LCDs. And you can trust on them if you are buying a new LCD. Hope it will help you if you are buying a LCD.

Hmm, yeah now you mentioned HP I remember using 1 at my friend's place. It's a 19" wide screen. Comparing to Acer it has better picture quality but price wise it's definitely much more expensive. In terms of View Sonic, I still feel View Sonic has the upper hand ;) Just my humble opinion
