tired!

Is it just me, or is everyone else out there tired of working for someone else. It gets so frustrating sometimes. They are the ones making the big bucks, and we are the ones doing all the grunt work. Not to mention that sometimes you have to bite your tongue 'cause they say do or require something that just makes no sense, but by golly if you don't jump on it your butt gets chewed. What to do, what to do. Of course other jobs present themselves, but when you start with a new company eventually the same crap crops up again eventually. Wish I had the money and or the guts to buy into a francise. Would likely be the same old thing, only this time I would be at the top of the dungheap instead of on the bottom.. Hmmm, there's still the power ball, right?

Gawd, I am really tired of working for my current boss. I've really had enough of her that I've actually talked to my dad about wanting to get another job yesterday but with less days to work because I really want to do some classes and find it impossible to do so when I work for almost 6 days a week (half days on Saturdays which sometimes runs into the evening, I don't know why she keeps us back when no one comes at that time to buy anything!) My boss is seriously cheap though. I was shocked when one of her business phones got cut because she didn't pay the bill for three months! I mean, what are you doing with all the money you are making? You are underpaying your workers, raising the price on items every time you order a new stock and yet you still don't have money to pay a bill of a utility that is necessary to your company? When this happened she got mad at us (the employees) because we had to use her phone (on her desk) to conduct business. Not our fault lady! I do want to open my own business in the future. Just a small catering thing but I am never gonna make it get so big that i have to hire workers. I don;t want that type of stress either!

Sad thing is that I love my boss, it's just the day to day junk I hate. Wish I could start my own business.

I've considered writing, but I always seem to get bogged down in my plots. Alos I actually have a small (Note small) side business where I create clothes for a renn faire. Just don't make enough at it to pay the bills. I've even thought of opening a gift/mail it type store closer to home.

Well I can't say I hate my boss either. But I can say that I dislike her a little more every time she does or says something to piss me off lol. I noticed you mentioned again about having your own business or buying into a franchise. What type of business are you interested in starting or what type of franchise are you looking for?

I can imagine feeling exactly the same in a few years time. I am much better at bossing people around than being bossed around myself. At the moment I am a student and therefore can not expect to be anything other than at the bottom of the dung heap. I am quite lucky in the fact that my boss is also my boyfriends Mam, so I am comfortable talking to her and if there is something I don't want to say I can just tell my boyfriend to say it as her son.

Maybe the problem for me is that there is stability in working for other folks as long as you follow their rules. It's scary to jump off into the unkown without a safety net.

I don't like taking risks either since their is the chance they could back fire. You just have to remember that you don't know if you don't try.

I think its normal for us to feel that way. Though working for someone else is still very helpful. It gives us continous compensation without worrying much if the company is getting a good revenue or not. We can also do our best to learn everything and when our time comes that we'll have our own business, it would be very easy to run being the new boss of everybody.
