What is First shifts time?

What is the normal first shift time. Some people say 9-5 some say 6- whenever.. So what is it to you, I really dont know I was used to 8-5 because that is what my dad always worked.

At a 27/7 establishment. Standard here in the U.S is usually 7am-3pm. If the establishment closes at 5pm.. Standard is 7-5 or 8-5 I think it all just really depends on the industry and the type of business it is.

I have worked morning from 8 to 6pm, this is my first shift, and second shift logs in at 6 pm to 3am. we have only two shift. I know people are working in three shift also.
