Why do I gravitate towards troubled souls?

I've been reading a lot about Amy Winehouse recently so I thought I'd Limewire her. Now I can't get enough of her. Every once in a while, an artist comes up and sings from the heart and people tend to look past the sincerity and focus on the controversies. I'm not condoning substance abuse, but I think it's their problem. I just think we shouldn't be hypocites all and cast the first stone. Her flesh may be inebriated but her soul calls out, and music is her medium. Maybe the fans know better than the moralist do-gooders, which is why she's successful in her craft. She might end up being another flash in the pan, but who isn't? This life is so short, I think what's important is to be true to yourself no matter what other people think.

I agree with you. She has her problems but who doesn't. She has a talent and sings from the heart. I hope she gets clean before she kills herself it would be a great loss to the music world.

The way I see it is that she has a great talent but she is letting go of the talent and it will proably all end in tears. I recently watched her DVD that was her concert and it was a real disappointment, I couldn't understand whay she was saying/singing. It totally ruined the DVD for me.

Thanks for the response. Her music touches my soul so much it hurts. I'm an instant fan, even if I don't usually admit to being one.

It was sorrt of like that for me, though some of her songs I just can't stand. Must admit that I am a bigger fan of her first album than her second.
