Here's a question...it might sound dumb. Who creates the viruses and why? How did apear the first virus? Everybody's looking for an antivirus and asking which is the best one...why can't we just surf freely on the web without beeing concern of the viruses that stole our private data...

oh..yeah its a good question...hmm you need some information: The first virus in the world was named 'The Creeper' and was first detected on ARPANET, the forerunner of the Internet early 1970`s. It propagated via the TENEX operating system and could make use of any connected modem to dial out the remote computers and infect them. It would display the message: I`M THE CREEPER! CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!! that`s the history of the first virus..ever;)

A virus is made by people who wants to destroy information in your computer, basically making your computer unusable; while spyware is created to spy on everything that you do online. You see there are two kinds of people in the world, the good and the bad. The bad ones who create the virus/spyware just wants someone to become miserable by sabotaging their online experience. The best antivirus software that I've used is NOD32. I don't think that day will come when we can just surf freely on the internet. World peace is just hard to come by. There will always be bad persons who may want to do something bad to anyone, not just online.

The majority of viruses are no doubt created by people purely to prove to themselves that they can do it, although I have often wondered what type of people create them. In order to create an effective virus requires a respectable knowledge of computers and programming, so you would expect someone like that to have more respect for computers. Spyware and Adware appear to be a greater problem these days than the average virus, and they are certainly becoming far more prolific.

Most viruses are made to gather information about people`s activities on the web, also to get credit card numbers, accounts & passwords. others make viuses to sell antivirus softwares that "guarantee" the removal ot that virus

ooh, i see now it makes sense...i downloaded an antivirus from the internet...one not popular and it sounded like he is good...i installed it and then it scaned my pc...wow it found tones of viruses...and then when i press disinfect it want's to buy it :)) ... and i think that in that antivirus are viruses =)) that will make you either buy the antivirus to get rid of it or format your pc...it's a good way to make money :))
