With so many anti-virus products sold commercially nowadays, which one is the best? As I use search engines to look for anti-virus reviews for 2008, I found BitDefender and Kasperksy on top of the list. Can you share your experiences with these two top-rated commercial antivirus? I am only using FREE anti-virus such as Avast4Home and AVG FREE.

I have tried many, anti virus programs but I finally settled for BitDefender Internet Security v10 18 months ago and I am pleased with it. I know that many do not recommend having a firewall combined with an anti virus - but after downloading the trial version and using it I found it the easiest and most efficient system for me. Also their pricing for licenses for several computers really clinched the deal. I am a happy customer !

BitDefender is kind of average as far as antiviruses go. Kaspersky and NOD32 are some of the best. Check out AV-Comparatives to get specific tests. The site is something like avcomparatives.com but I'm not sure.

Hi learn, I too visit that site for quite some time now and those two never leave the top. Did you know BitDefender has a free version you could try it out for your self. For me I prefer Kaspersky It gives me more control as to what to run and not, prompts me for permission on activities that are normally exploited by these intruders.
